dear people,
obama is a politician. please keep that in mind. presuming he wins the election tomorrow, the world isn't going to change. if you believe so, then ask yourself, is this woman being realistic?
all i see is stupid sheep playing follow the leader.
do we need a change? absolutely. is obama going to be the change we need?
i doubt it.
he is a politician.
and politicians don't change.
i spent part of the day trying to figure out how to write out what my feelings about tomorrow are, but all i can offer is a simple warning.
regardless of who wins, we all lose.
not much will change. republicans will hate democrats. democrats will hate republicans. all will throw stones at each other. all will call each other names. and where will it get us?
i will vote tomorrow. but it won't be for them.
i'm not a big fan of Jack Cafferty, but kudos for this one. she is truly disturbing, and the depths of her inexperience truly offend me.

on a personal note, i subscribe to #3. thank you Mr. Carlin.
here's the 2nd brief vid i shot this afternoon. shows just how much rain there was and it was like that for a good 15-20 minutes straight.

stopped by market basket to pick up some frozen lunches and just before i got there, the heavens opened up and visibility went from clear and visible to i could barely see in front of me with my wipers on high. a few minutes later, i pulled into the partially flooded parking lot at market basket and spent the next 20 or so mins sitting in my car enjoying the passing thunderstorm. just missed by about 2 seconds a picture of a nice lightning bolt. and a few minutes after parking, i heard a pop which turned out to be the building losing partial power. when the rain stopped enough, i headed in and while waiting in line with my frozen lunches, the building lost all power except for the generator powering the registers and the emergency lights.
the first picture was shot facing south, the second is a picture of the building sign on the fritz, and my first ever youtube vid (it's not very exciting) of the sign behaving all glitchy. (it was off when i left the store.)
i had forgotten that they were going to do this. this is attempt #2 a few days after wind & rain foiled the scheduled attempt. there don't seem to be many pictures from the event, but i'm sure they are out there (i've found 1)
