(the empire!) quack! quack!

members of the 501st, New England Garrison were invited on a Duck Tour by one of the drivers who was a real trip. she was a riot and it was a lot of fun. so TK asked if i was interested and with M overseas in the fine german city of dusseldorf on buisness, i figured it would be fun, and it was.

we had the white duckboat and it was just fun to drive around the city and see people's reactions. it was funny. some people were suprised, some amused, some tried to ignore us (there is nothing to see here, these aren't the droids you are looking for) and a few people snapped their heads. there was one SUV that we drove past and the people in front were staring and as we were driving in the opposite direction, the back window rolled down and a woman stuck her head out to try and see us. it was pretty funny.

it was pretty funny when we were in the river and the question of whether someone wanted to drive, people pointed at the AT-AT driver so she was the pilot of the duckboat. (something about all you ever see is the backs of their heads). there was a funny moment (i thought so cuz i caught the reference) about how cambridge has the largest collection of genetic companies, and they are still working on the long-tailed hamster (bloom country reference).

it was suprising at how quickly time flew. we left around 7pm and we got back around 830, but it didn't seem like it was that long. good time had by all i'd say.
