quite productive today

today was my first day off in i don't know how long, but i suppose labor day would technically count.

kinda weird not having to worry about going into work, but it was nice to wake up at 8am and think about how i wasn't going to be stuck in traffic.

made it to the gym and had a pretty good workout. i like having a bit more time to do things, as well as go thru my little routine at a more leisurely pace. came back, showered and started planning for the afternoon.

mailed my brother's bday present (a little late), got my oil changed, picked up a bottle of wine i wanted to try (and will), adjusted my auto-payment for my credit card, called and had them fix my interest rate which i hadn't been paying attention to (bad me, but apparently if you put a large purchase on your credit card, they screw you in the ass with a pressure treated 4x4 decking post for shits and giggles. i so want to buy something of significant value with my credit card now, don't you?). and now i sit here semi-relishing in the idea that i did nothing work related (except for 1 email to provide an update to a loaner in question) all day.

i almost replied to mosquito asking why she couldn't send a clinician an email, but to try and explain that the per-visit clinicians don't get email would take more time than it was worth. i'll let CL deal with it on monday.

so all in all, i've had a really good week. work was busy, but it usually is. paid off my car. got a haircut. went to dinner and theater with friends. saw Saw II. did what i did today, i must say, i've had a halfway decent week for a change. the only thing that really sucks is that i should be in SC at a wedding (with a side-jaunt to Chas?) but i'll keep my mouth shut for the moment.

now i need to head out and see about getting something for my rens. so today could be even more productive...
